WELCOME TO ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE SELECTION TEST FOR THE ADMISSION TO JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA, CHENNITHALA, ALLEPPEY, KERALA.

               In accordance with the National Policy of Education (1986) Government of India started Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) for giving free education for talented children from rural areas. Presently, 660 JNVs are spread in 28 States and 07 Union Territories. These are co-educational residential schools fully financed and administered by Government of India through an autonomous organization, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Admissions in JNVs are made through the JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA SELECTION TEST (JNVST) at Class VI. The medium of instruction in JNVs is the mother tongue or regional language up to Class VIII and English thereafter up to class XII. Students of the JNVs appear for X and XII class examinations of the Central Board of Secondary Education.

            Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Chennithala, Alleppey is one of the 14 –Residential Schools in Kerala from VI to XII classes in CBSE Syllabus funded by Central Government under the Ministry of HRD. As per the survey conducted by “Education World Magazine” in 2017, JNV Chennithala, Alleppey was ranked in the fourth position among the Government Boarding Schools in India.

Online application for the Selection Test for the admission of students in Class –VI at JNV Alleppey for the year 2018 was started from 25-09-2017.Online application can be uploaded through the COMMON SERVICE CENTRE (CSC) located in different parts of Alleppey district. The list of CSC can be obtained from the JNV ALLEPPEY Website (www.jnvalleppey.org). One CSC is available at JNV Alleppey also.

    For uploading application through CSC, the following items are needed

1. A certificate in the prescribed format signed by the parent and counter signed by the Head

     master of the School where the child is studying in class –V

2. Passport size photo of the child.

3. Signature of the parent and the child in plane paper

4. Aadhaar Number.

5. Mobile phone for getting the OTP.

                         The common Service Centre will collect a fee of Rs.35/- for uploading the application form and Rs.10/- for downloading the Hall Tickets.

                        All the students studying in class-V can apply for the Selection Test-2018 if                      

1.They are studying in class -V in Government Recognised School in Alleppey District during 17-18

2.They have passed  class III and IV from Government Recognised Schools during 15-16 and 16-17

3. They must not have been born before 01-05-2005 and after 30-04-2009

 

Last date of online application: 25-11-2017 & Hall Tickets can be downloaded from 25-12-2017

Examination will be conducted by CBSE from 11.30am to 1.30 pm on 10-02-2018 at different centres of Alleppey District.The selection test will be of two-hour duration and will have 3 sections with only objective type questions.
